Details of Accommodation
Arrival and Departure Times
Participants will be welcomed from early afternoon on the first day of the course. It is helpful if participants can also vacate their rooms by early afternoon on the last day, so the Manor can be prepared for the next event.
Meals: A buffet meal is available upon arrival on the first evening of the course and the dining room is open 7.30 to 9.00pm. There are coffee/tea making facilities in the Manor and in the Lodge.
Accommodation: Wickenden accommodates guests in both the Manor and the Lodge, which is a short walk away from the Manor. Many rooms are en-suite and there are several shared shower rooms in both the Manor and the Lodge.
What to bring: The temperatures in the UK are surprising all through the year and it is wise to come with a couple of items of clothing in case of colder weather. A rain mac is also advisable. This is an old Manor house which is constructed of stone so one can feel cold sometimes, even when temperatures outside are elevated.
Sports equipment: In the grounds of Wickenden there is a tennis court, a croquet lawn and acres of land all around which is good for hikes and long walks. In East Grinstead there is an indoor swimming pool and the sea is not far away by car.
