Arrival and Departure Times

Participants are requested not to arrive before 5pm on the first day of the course. Also, it is helpful if participants can vacate their rooms by 11am on the last day so that the Hall can be prepared for the next event.

Details of Accommodation

Meals:  A buffet meal is available upon arrival on the first evening of the course and the dining room is open until 10pm. There are coffee/tea making facilities in the Hall and in the Annexe.

Accommodation:  Thornycroft accommodates guests in both the main Hall and the Annexe, which is a short walk away from the Hall.  Several rooms in the Hall are en-suite and there are several shared shower rooms in both the Hall and the Annexe.

What to bring:  The temperatures in the UK are surprising all through the year and it is wise to come with a couple of items of clothing in case of colder weather. A rain mac is also advisable. This is an old house which is constructed of stone so one can feel cold sometimes, even when temperatures outside are elevated.

Sports equipment:  The grounds of Thornycroft are extensive and pleasant and the area around Thornycroft is excellent for walking.  This part of the UK is well known for easy access by car and public transport to the sea, and areas of stunning natural green and mountainous beauty.
