Hazelwood House is an elegant 19th century listed house designed by Scottish Architect, James Milne Monro. It is a short distance from Glasgow city centre and airport.

How to get there 

By train:  The rail station is Glasgow Central and trains from all parts of the UK are very frequent. Taxis are available outside the station and the journey to Hazelwood House by taxi takes 15 to 20 minutes.

By air:  If you are travelling to Hazelwood by air, the airport to use is Glasgow Airport and then  travel by taxi to Hazelwood. If you fly into London or any other airport, you will need to take another flight or train to Glasgow and then a taxi.

Arrival and Departure Times

Participants are requested not to arrive before 5pm on the first day of the course. Also, it is helpful if participants can vacate their rooms by 11am on the last day so that the Hall can be prepared for the next event.

Meals:  A buffet meal is available upon arrival on the first evening of the course and the dining room is open until 10pm. There are coffee/tea making facilities available in Hazelwood.

Accommodation:  Hazelwood accommodates up to 17 guests in single rooms.  Almost all rooms are en-suite.

What to bring:  The temperatures in the UK are surprising all through the year and it is wise to come with a couple of items of clothing in case of colder weather. A rain mac is also advisable. This is an old house which is constructed of stone so one can feel cold sometimes, even when temperatures outside are elevated.

Sports equipment:  Scotland is well-known for its mountains, lakes and scenery.  The house is adjacent to a huge park called Bellahouston.  It is a perfect country for walking and there is easy access by car and public transport to the sea, and areas of stunning natural beauty.
